I was really shocked last evening when I started hearing that Michael Jackson had passed away. While I was never a particular big fan of his music, I can’t deny the impact he had on the music industry and a several generations of music fans. I really hope he’s in a better place now, and leave you with an HD copy of his game changing music video for the song “Thriller.”

With the new iPhone software and a MobileMe account you can track your cell phones GPS signal and hunt down the terrorist scum that tries to steal it from you. Without a doubt the wet dream of any self respecting 24 fan. One brave and lucky nerd already got to experience the adrenaline that comes with being Jack Bauer. Flickr updates for iPhone OS3.0

Flickr has updated the mobile version of their website to allow you to search for pictures taken near your current location. The websites asks for your permission to look at the phones current GPS position and then returns photographs which are geo-tagged with nearby coordinates.
Imagine in a hundred or five hundred years people will be able to look at famous photography from the coming years and then go and stand on the location that they were taken with pin-point accuracy. That’s regardless of wars, natural disasters, or plain old progress altering the surroundings, the GPS coordinates will not lie.
That’s pretty dope and it really makes me wish my DSLR had a GPS unit in it. The next one sure as hell will!

This is a wall of iPhone apps that pulses as people purchase an app in iTunes. It’s a pretty good visual representation of how far ahead of the competition they are, and it would make a great screen saver.
