Well now it’s official Nokia and Microsoft are forming an alliance in a vain attempt to make themselves relevant again.
Of the two companies I feel Microsoft got the good deal. They essentially bought themselves some market share in the mobile race. Nokia on the other hand really gains very little, they are losing market share and this deal may not help turn it around. I have a tough time trying to figure out why they didn’t go with Android. It’s free, where as I’m sure Microsoft get’s some licensing money, and they could have built on top of it much like HTC has done. It would have been the much wiser course in my opinion.
