Hostway fucking sucks!

This post is to warn people, so that they might not suffer as I have suffered. Hostway is the worst web hosting company in the world. If you are considering using their services to host your website or if someone recommends them to you, do yourself a favor turn around and run as fast as you possibly can.

To say that their customer service blows is a fucking understatement, it’s soo bad that it will have you contemplating suicide before you get your problem resolved. If you e-mail customer service it takes a minimum of 12 to 24 hours to receive a response. At least a half a day minimum! You could get faster results with regular mail. Then once you get a response, it usually completely fails to address your problem. You wait a whole day for an answer and all you get: “We don’t see a problem are you sure?”

My inner Gordon Ramsay comes out

That’s what I’d like to scream, but you reply politely and wait another 12 to 24 hours for them to get back to you. And the cycle carries on and on, with problems that could be resolved in minutes taking days and weeks to be resolved. It’s enough to bring out my inner Gordon Ramsay.

All this could be acceptable if the damn service wasn’t so freaking expensive to begin with, or if they didn’t nickle and dime you for every last little feature and service. But seriously at those prices I think you can answer to an email within an hour, not your standard of excellence TWELVE HOURS.

And when you’ve had enough and you can take no more and decide to take your business to someone who really wants it, well … they fuck you one last time. Two weeks I spent trying to move my domain name to a new host. With everything in order, and all of the authorization codes in my hand. Hostway just kept on refusing the request, because they might not work for their customers but they sure as hell won’t let them leave without a fight.

So this post is in your honor, I hope your shitty company goes the way of General Motors. May this post be cemented in the internets of world, and serve as a warning to others of your shitty service and over inflated prices.
