Art in the favellas

May 7th, 2009

I found these pictures over at ekosystem.org and was blown away, how does one prepare and organize something that big and spread about? Seems like such a daunting task. I’d love to know how long it took or how much paint.

The Little People Blog

Little People is a cool blog that my girlfriend told me about not too long ago.

It’s an ongoing street art project where miniatures of people are photographed around London. Entries usually contain a pair of photographs. The first one being a close up scene where the model can be observed doing a certain activity, and the second picture a wide shot showing the real environment.

There’s a lot of really cool pictures and the site goes back to 2006 so there’s been a considerable amount of time and effort put into this, which you got to respect. You can even purchase a book: Little People in the City: The Street Art of Slinkachu featuring photographs from the project on Amazon.com.
